Mission Statement: My mission as Warrick County Assessor is to locate, classify and value all taxable property in effort to achieve fairness and equity in values and produce our annual assessment rolls in accordance with the law in a timely, accurate and courteous manner.

The primary function of the County Assessor's Office are;

• Assessment of Real Property for all of the townships in Warrick County
• Real Estate and Personal Property Appeals
• Non-taxable exemptions
• Assessment of All Farmers and business Personal Property
• Assessment of mobile homes

The County Assessor identifies, lists and calculates the assessed value of all Real and Personal property in those areas of the county that are not maintained by the individual Assessors. In general, the County Assessor performs the following duties:

1. Advises and instructs the County's Assessors.
2. Oversees the General Reassessment process.
3. Serves as Member/Secretary of the County Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals.
4. Insures countywide uniform Property Assessment Equalization.
5. Discovers and identifies omitted property.
6. Calculates the assessed value of all real property in each taxing district.
7. Verifies and review the self-reported values of all personal property in each taxing district.
8. Calculates the total assessed value of each taxing district.
9. Certifies current Assessments to the County Auditor's Office.
10. Utilizes recent sales of land (Sales Disclosures) to establish base market rates and values in each neighborhood, adjusts base values for location, nearness to amenities and other influence factors.
11. Is responsible for the selection of Assessment Software and Computer Systems.
